Martinez Tiped For Exit

Martinez

Roberto Martinez is defiantly suffering second season syndrome and its showing badly as Everton have now not won a game at home since December 15th when the beat QPR 3-0 and have only won once this year when they ran out 1-0 winners away to Crystal Palace.

In the last couple of days bookies have been going crazy with potential replacements to succeed Martinez and ex Swansea City boss Micheal Laudrup is now favourite to come to Everton’s aid coming in at 7/1 other notable manages include Borissia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp at 25/1, Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti at 12/1 and Besiktas manager and ex Everton player Slavin Bilic at 14/1

With reports that Martinez has lost the respect of the senior players, fans would like to see a player with passion come back in and have called for the likes of Duncan Ferguson  to come in or current U21’s boss David Unsworth to have his shot at the first team, another name mentioned is to bring back club legend Tim Cahill at the end of the season and see if can have his hand in not only becoming a legend on the pitch but one off the pitch as well.

Who would you like to see come in, if Martinez dose leave?

Could Everton Be Involved In The Relagation Battle

Everton

Roberto Martinez has been under fire for most of the season now and statistics have shown why with Everton only winning 1 game in 9 in the Premiership. They lie just 6 points above the relegation zone and are now could face a relegation battle if the season continues the way it has. Fans are now saying that Everton are turning out to be the new Wigan Athletic, Martinez’s previous club which he was in charge of when then were relegated in the 2012/13 season all though they did win a trophy, The FA Cup running out 1-0 winners against Manchester City and Everton are looking to be doing the same with them reaching the Round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League where they will face Dinimo Kiev.

Now to the main reason of Everton’s poor run on the field are more directly the defence. Last season Everton had the 3 greatest defences in the league only losing out to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City but so far this season the have the 3rd worst defence ahead of Aston Villa and Burnley. It shows you that Everton have become a old team with the likes of Goalkeeper Tim Howard, 35, Defenders Phil Jagielka, 32, Antolin Alcaraz, 32, Sylvin Distin, 37, and Left back Leighton Baines, 30, have all now seemed to be losing their touch and with cries from the fans to bring in some young talented players. Martinez has started to do this but is it too late into the season with only 10 games left.

When asked about the recent form of Everton Martinez replied The Everton boss said: “I was always very aware of the support that I would get from the chairman. “Bill Kenwright is a mad Evertonian who became a chairman. “It’s not the other way round. He’s not a chairman that gets to know the football club. “I can feel that relationship. I had his support when we were flying in the league, I got his support when we were flying in Europe and I’ve got his support when we haven’t been able to get the wins we wanted in the league.”

Everton face a tricky visit from Newcastle United next who they were beaten earlier in the season 3-2, then a trip to Loftus Road and a clash against QPR then the host Southampton at Goodison Park could Everton turn their season around in that time ?.
